There are 12 bands performing at Paw Paw and 10 bands performing at Berrien Springs. The festival is Tuesday, October 8th with no rain date. Instead, bands will be moved inside to the gymnasium if there is inclement weather. The first band will perform at 5:00 pm at the Paw Paw Middle School stadium, and the first band will perform at 5:45 pm at the stadium at Berrien Springs High School. Please contact your local director if you are interested in specific information regarding that school.
General Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and senior citizens. There is also a family rate of $15 for parent(s) and their children. Programs will cost $1.00.
MSBOA (Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association) marching band festivals are non-competitive activities whereby marching bands are adjudicated in three areas of expertise: marching, music, and general effect. Bands are judged against a standard set of criteria developed by the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association. Bands do not compete against each other. Ratings of 1-5 (1 being the highest score possible) are awarded to bands based on their execution of the music and marching drill. The general effect caption is an integration of the music and marching and how these two components enhance each other.
